Inside a Camping Pod
Surrounded by the beautiful Shropshire Hills, Daisy Bank Camping Pods are a neat alternative to camping in tents.
Why Pod Camping?
You can forget having to pitch-up when it’s breezy, or pack-up when it’s damp. Just arrive at the campsite and find your cosy ‘wooden tent’, pitched, connected to the electricity, ready for you to start your break.
How many can stay in a Camping Pod?
Daisy Bank Camping Pods are designed for two adults. Dogs are also allowed the camping pods.
What will I find in a Camping Pod?
- Small heater
- Roller blind for door(s)
- Table and two chairs on the ‘sun-deck’
What kit will I need for pod camping?
All the essentials, though about half of what you would need for a tent:
- Inflatable mattress or bed-roll(s)
- Sleeping bag or duvet and pillows
- Cooking stove and/or kettle
- Cool-box (for the milk, beers and wine…)
- Mugs, glasses, plates and cutlery
- Towels and tea towels.
Of course, cooking is not mandatory, there are quite a few tempting pubs and restaurants around Daisy Bank. Nearby, Harry Tuffin’s Supermarket has a cafe which serves a large ‘fry-up’ breakfast.
What about camping facilities?
Daisy Bank is a full-facility touring park. The Camping Pods are conveniently sited close to our heated, 5-star facilities which feature luxury individual shower rooms with vanity units and WC’s. Ladies, there are hair-dryers too!
Tell me more about Camping Pods…
Our camping pods are designed for comfort all year-round, toasty warm in Winter. light and airy in Summer. The wood used in their construction is a naturally warm material and, for extra insulation, Daisy Bank camping pods have a layer of sheep’s wool inside the walls. An additional foil layer in the special roof material keeps Summer temperatures in check. Double-glazed, lockable French doors and window, reduce condensation and insulate the pod from noise. The small, high level window in the rear wall provides light and ventilation for the living space.
